Brotherlines

A quick view of my Sidelines (aka Brotherlines)

Here you can see the cuffs and one cable.

And here, a cable and a bias lateral panel:

I still have to block it, so I'll model it next time.
Mientras tanto, van las especificaciones técnicas.
In the meantime, some specs:
Patrón/Pattern: Sidelines (Ravelry link), de Interweave Knits Fall 2008 (bien escrito y claro)
Hilado/Yarn: Portofino de Milana, en Buenos Aires. Lana/Wool 100%
Agujas/Needles: 4 mm
Mods: I made it longer by taking up the cast on stitches and knitting down for several cms. It was way too short.

Soy un niña impúber / I'm a young girl

I bought this yarn to knit a little pocho for my young goddaughter. But my dear kniting friends, mothers as they all are, informed me that 100% wool is a no-no for little kids. It itches, apparently. I had already made balls out of this yarn so I can't return it. I was forced, as it were, to cast on a vest for myself.

Lindo, no?
Kind of nice, uh?

UFA!
Too bad that, having been purchased for a little girl, something inside me thought I was a little girl myself. Or maybe a little boy. Because I forgot the girls. No boobage room at all. Is it possible? At this point in my life? I'll have to tink this to the yoke. OUCH!

Alguien me alcanza un pañuelo? (o una faja...)
Would someone please hand me a handkerchief to wipe my tears? (or maybe a girdle...)

Top down 1.1

This is my new top down, the one I told about here

One I thing I learnt last time, on the Top Down Magenta: I need short rows in the back. On this photo, dark as it is, you can still see that the back is longer.

I'm using this bulky acrilyc from Laxul. I'm posting the color true pic below:

Listo. Soy feliz como una lombriz!
How great is it to knit from the top down, uh? No gauge issues whatsoever! I just kind of figured how many stitches to cast on and I did it. Pronto. Happy camper, here!

Some times life demands sacrifices. Look the awful place I had to visit on Sunday.

I took my Top Down Magenta for a ride. One of the last times this year, judging by the tree behind me.

Autoestima / Self esteem

Y si, tengo algunos problemitas. Evidentemente, me odio a mi misma.
Yes, I do have issues. Obviously, I must hate myself. I wouldn't have thought so, but what other excuse is there for knitting this:

It's clear that I was looking for ways to ruin a whole knitting week. There, it's over. The photo is just because I like sharing with you all, because this cardigan is no longer. As the Monty Phyton would say, it's gone, it's no more, it's an ex cardigan.
My computer is still broken. Photos are a collaboration from my superbro, the best, the likes of whom there are no others, who took the camera I don't know where and downloaded my photos I don't know how. You can go tell him how cool he is on here.

Sonamos / We are screwed

My home PC is broken. Therefore, no pictures for this blog for some time.

Too bad, I had a few things to show you. The super, hyper, uber chunky vest I'm knitting. And the new top down cardi I've started, in red with white and blue specks. Sort of a 1.1 version of my Top Down Magenta.

And the stuff I bought yesterday in Scalabrini (the Buenos Aires Yarn District)

Oh, las maravillas de la informática...
Oh well, the wonderful world fo IT

Me siento menos sola! LOL
On another note, I want to thank the people who voted on my little survey. I feel less loney!

Raha

Acá les traigo my Raha Scarf bloqueada. Preciosa (no tengo abuela).
¿Me traerá plata? La voy a usar todos los días...
Here is my Raha Scarf, already blocked. Gorgeous (blosing my own horn, uh?)
According to the book, Raha means coin (the desing surely looks like one). Will it bring some money my way? I'd wear it every day...

As usual, modeled by the house canine.

Specs:

Hilado / Yarn: Noro Silk Garden (50 gr).

I've never shown you the pottery workshop I go to, nor my beautiful teacher and mates.

Las quieren conocer? / Wanna meet them?

Necesito una idea / In need of ideas

A very dear friend of mine is always admiring of my knitting, and has been hinting for a year (actually telling me) that she would appreciate me knitting something for her. Not a very usual request, and one that is dear to my poor wooly heart.

No soy taaaan buena persona!) .

So I'd like to knit something smallish for her, an accesory of sorts (I'm not as good a person as my buddy Joji, who knit a Rambling Rose for her friend...). Fingerless mitts are out of the question, he told me once she saw no point to them. Scarfs are also out, I refuse to knit one for obvious reasons (zzzzzzzzzz). I remember she loved my Ice Queen when she saw it, so that may be it.

Querida blogaudiencia: se les ocurre algo más? Tírenme una ideita!
Dear blogaudience, do you have any other ideas?

Triinu

I've just finished my Raha scarf (it's blocking, so I have no pics yet). Obsessive as I am, I've cast another Estonian lace scarf on the same day. This one is going to be a bit bigger, and will have nupps.

Hasta ahora, tengo hecho esto:
This is what I have so far:

When it grows up, it'll look like this (Rav link on the pic)

Multicultural, no?
Something funny here: an Argentine knitter, doing Estonian lace, using Bolivian alpaca. Multicultural or what, uh?

Pascuas light / Light Easter

Are we going to keep gaining weight by eating all those chocolate eggs? (of course we will, but bear with me, ok?) Well, no! Let's knit these exceedingly beautiful Easter eggs instead!
Free pattern here.

¡Felices Pascuas! / Happy Easter!

Do you like how it looks?

A mi no. Duro, duro, duro (Tu Sam, alquien recuerda? yo tampoco...). Pesado, pesado, pesado.
Qué me pasa últimamente...
I don't. Hard, very hard fabric. Heavy, heavy, heavy.
I'll tink it and reknit using bigger needles. What's up with me lately...
