I'm baaaaack

Bueno gente linda, ya tod@s sabrán que me operé hace exactamente una semana. Fue una semanita movida, no me gustan naaaaaaaaada los quirófanos!
Hi there, my favorite people! I guess you all know by now that I had my surgery exactly one week ago. It was a bumpy week, I'm really not that into this surgery thing...

Pero ya estoy recuperándome como es debido. Lo que, por cierto, implica que he estado tejiendo como una maníaca. No dejé pasar un solo día sin tejer algo (¿obse, yo? ¿Cómo osan?).
I'm recovering now. Which, of course, means that I've been knitting like a maniac. There was not one single day I didn't knit (obsesive? Who, me? Come on!)

Pero como muy fiel a mis principios, sigo siendo tan desorganizada como siempre. Y eso quiere decir que hoy no les muestro foto de nada que haya tejido durante mi convalescencia, si no algo que terminé antes.
Loyal to my principles as I am, I'm still a tad... disorganized, you could say. So I'm not showing pictures of anything I've knitted this week, but of a little thing I did before.

Es un bolerito para una beba (bienvenida Candelaria, hermosa, chiquita, que llegaste apenas ayer a este mundo loco!) En realidad, el bolerito es para cuando sea un poquitito más mayorcita, digamos que para este invierno.

Me pareció tan gracioso, con sus voladitos... y además, cómo decía el patrón, la ventaja es que como no tiene frente, el piojo en cuestión no puede sacárselo tan fácil.

Breve update / Short update

Ladies, un update del procedimiento de ayer. Estoy bien, estoy en casa, y la intervención no sirvió para nada más que para llegar a la conclusión de que me tengo que hacer una histerectomía.
A short update about yesterday's procedure. I'm fine, I'm home, and the only thing that came out of the operation is that I'll need an hysterectomy. Soon.


Y otra cosa menos fea, anoche estaba en la cama, y me desperté moviendo los pies... bah, tejiendo en el aire. Con los pies (!)
And another thing, on a lighter tone: last night I suddenly woke up to my feet moving. Not just moving, really... but knitting in the air. My feet. LOL

Nunca, pero nunca, probé un hilado tan suave. Al apoyarlo contra la carita, realmente dan ganas de mirarlo a ver si realmente està. Suave como el pétalo de una flor, en serio.

Siempre me da un poco de miedo hacer compras internacionales, pero wow. Hoy estoy conforme.

Mini shawl texturado / Mini textured shawl

Hoy tengo para mostrarles este mini shawl que terminé hace algunos días. Como es habitual, no se me ocurrió mostrarles el proceso, sólo el producto terminado.
Today I can show you this minishawl that I finished a few days ago. As usual, I'm guilty of not showing you the process, just the finished item.


Lo tejí con parte de la merino que pinté a mano hace ya algún tiempo.
I used some merino handpainted by yours truly.

Me encantó el punto, es tan sencillo y, en estos colores, me hace pensar en un campo lleno de florcitas.
I love the the detailing, it's so easy to knit and, in these colors, it remains me of a green praire filled with flowers.


El único punto en contra de este mini shawl es que es bien mini. Se preguntarán por qué... bueno, es que este animal se masticó al menos 50 grs de merino. Antes de que me manden al veterinario, les aseguro que no se la traga, pero se la come como chicle. Además tiene buen gusto, no se acerca siquiera al acrílico, y tampoco le gusta el algodón.
All I have to be sorry about this is that it really is smallish. If you wonder why... well, this beloved animal chewed at least 50 gr of good merino wool. Before you send me running to the vet, I'll tell you he doesn't swallow it, he just chews on it as if it were gum. The thing has a taste too, he won't get near acrylic, and he doesn't like coton either.
