This was my first failed experiment at kool aid dyeing (ignore the messy kitchent, will'ya?):
Linda porquería, eh? Al principio parecía que todo andaba bien:
Awful, uh? At first, it all seemed ok.
Luego empecé a preocuparme porque se suponía que el agua debía quedar transparente, pero no, quedaba con el color...
Then I started worrying. The bath water was supposed to turn transparent but instead, it remained colored...
Finalmente saqué el hilado del agua y apenas la enguajé, todo el color se fue por el drenaje!
I eventually took the yarn out and as soon as I rinsed it, the color went through the drain!
Estoy segura de que lo que pasó fue que no era lana pura, como yo pensaba.
I'm sure the problem was that the yarn wasn't really 100% wool, as I thought.
Me lo tomo como experiencia. ¿Alguien sabe si podré teñir esto con anilina para sintético? Quienes están en Argentina: no había una Colibrí que se hacía en caliente para sintéticos? ¿A alguien se le ocurre qué hago con esto?
I'm choking it down to experience. Does anybody know if I could possibly dye this with other type of dye? What can I possibly do with this yarn now?

Kool-Aid should dye the yarn, even if it has nylon in it. Maybe you didn't heat it for long enough? I keep mine on the heat for at least 45 minutes.
brí u otra marca todavia deben existir, buscaste bien?!. Tal vez falte algo en la pocion que fije la tintura a la lana.
ladylinoleum is right. The dye should have taken. I will say, though, that red is the worst dye to take. It needs extreme heat. And Kool-Aid is not as colorfast (comes out after so many washes). If you are not sure of the content of the yarn, you can try any dye that will dye cotton, too. Try again and keep it really hot for a long time. Let us know how it works out!
