BII - Tareas impensadas / BII - uncharachteristic tasks

Aunque me lleve algunos... años!

At the request of a very dear fellow who asked for a smallish blanket, using "the cheapest yarn you have, don't want it to be a problem" (sweety!)

Right then, I thought it was the perfect excuse to finish this blanket I had started I don't know how many years ago. And I mean it literally, we are talking years year. From the times I still liked granny squares, so go figure, there was such a time.

I spent all the afternoon sewing up the remaining squares, hiding the gazillion loose ends (oh dear!) and crotcheting a narrow border all around.

I then washed it up (in the washing matching, since I can most certainly assure you that no sheep was ever cold on account of this blanket and it's now drying up. No blocking on hard wearing acrylic. In real life, it's way more violet than you can see in the picture (doesn't it look blue? What is it with purple and my camera?) and it doesn't go with anything in his room. Oh well, I like it.

So there you have it, close your unbelieving open mouths and proceed to congratulate me. I can finish something. Even if it takes years.

What a great feeling, taking this off the stash! And so that you know, I still don't enjoy granny squares. But this one, as every one of my knits, I love (maybe because of all those loose ends?)
