Cardi y preguntas / Cardi and a question for you

Hoy vengo a hacerles una pregunta.
Today I'm exploiting you with a question.

As you can see, I've moved forward with the cardigan. Here I present you with what is going to be recognized, some day, as a new branch of modern art: the bathroom mirror shot.

Anyway, I'd like to you see the ending of neck band, where it joins the front band. Do you see how tight it is? I wonder if blocking will take care of that, or if you think it's going to remain like that and turn on itself when worn. I intend to put a button or maybe a brooch to close it right there, but I don't know if I want to wear it closed all the time, I'd like to have the option of wearing it completely open.

When I started this, after 10 cms or so, I realized the neck band, garter stitch, was turning back on itself. So I tinked it (how it hurts!) and started over. No photos of the failed neck band.

Second time around, I did the neck band in 4 mm needes (the rest is knitted with 5mm needles) in a different stitch pattern, and that is what you can see here.

Please tell me what you think. If I have to unravel this, I'd rather do it now than later.

Hi Andrea! If it is wool, you can block a good inch out of it when wet that will stay when dry. If it is acrylic, or cotton, you may be tinking.....

Looks great! Love the color!

Hi Daniele, it's cotton. Ouch. I don't think I'll be tinking again though. I think I'll stuck a button on it and live with it.
